Chronicling the development of my Cambrian and Narrow Gauge 4mm scale model railway

Thursday’s post is quick to go

Yes I am a Thursday child so I’ve still some way to go…

However this Thursday saw the quarterly arrival of the this fantastic publication… yey! (and the renewal slip… boo!)

I can honestly say that this is the best model railway mag I’ve subscribed to (and I’ve subscribed to a few over they years – Model Rail, BRM, and Model Railway Enthusiast – remember that? It became obsessed with prices and became Model Railway Collector but I stopped getting it way before then).

As usual it got a read cover to cover and will probably get further reading and peering at the photos of the months to come.

If you’ve been wondering whether to get it, do.

Having now officially reached middle age, I am a rolling stock engineer and have worked in many different locations including a 7 year spell in Sydney, Australia, where I arrived with a suitcase and left with a wife and a son. I am now based back in my home county of Yorkshire where I juggle full time work, being a Dad to two rascally mini-mes, and trying to fit in railway modelling, assisting the GWR 1014 County of Glamorgan project, and visits to the top left hand corner of Wales. In addition to my heavily railway themed life, I am interested in rugby, cricket, reading crime novels, falconry, and medieval re-enactments.
